www.montanagrizzlies.com/news/?n=2011/95/9674&m=36Griz snag second seed in Big Sky tourneyThe Montana Grizzlies will enter the Big Sky Men's Basketball Championships as the No. 2 seed when play begins Tuesday in Greeley, Colo. Entering the final day of play Wednesday, Montana needed help from the Eastern Washington Eagles, the very team that effectively ended the Grizzlies' chances of hosting the conference tournament last week. The Eagles posted a 75-59 win over the Weber State Wildcats in Ogden, Utah, and the loss dropped the WIldcats to 11-5 in conference, one game behind the Grizzlies. Northern Colorado wrapped up first place with a 84-54 win over Sac State to finish 13-3. Northern Colorado and Montana will be waiting for their respective opponents in the championship semifinals. The Bears will play the lowest remaining seed, while the Grizzlies will play the highest surviving quarterfinalist. No. 3 Weber State and No. 6 Eastern Washington will have a rematch of Wednesday night's game Saturday in Ogden, while No. 5 Montana State will travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., to face No. 4 Northern Arizona. The Big Sky semifinals will be played Tuesday, live on Altitude, and the championship game will be Wednesday, live on ESPN2.
